SCBWI Montana Scholarships

SCBWI–Montana Student Scholarship

This scholarship awards a one-year membership to SCBWI for a person who is pursuing higher education.

Qualifications: Must be a resident of the state of Montana, at least 18 years of age, who is studying at a college or university.

Award: A one-year membership to the SCBWI.

Deadline:  Applications are accepted Nov. 1st – Dec. 1st.   The awardee will be notified by Dec. 15th.

SCBWI-Montana BIPOC Scholarship

This scholarship awards a one-year membership to SCBWI for a person who identifies as a BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color) kid lit creator. With this award, we hope to support BIPOC authors and illustrators who create books that resonate with and reflect the experiences of children who are underrepresented.

Qualifications: Must be a resident of the state of Montana, at least 18 years of age, who identifies as BIPOC and is a writer and/or illustrator of children’s literature.

Award: A one-year membership to the SCBWI.

Deadline:  Applications are accepted Nov. 1st – Dec. 1st.   The awardee will be notified by Dec. 15th.
